19 All day: 5th Symposium on Agri-Tech Economics for Sustainable Futures All day 19 September, 2022 The dates for the 5th Symposium on Agri-Tech Economics for Sustainable Futures has been announced for the 19th & 20th September 2022. Abstract and Full Paper submissions will be open until the 1st July 2022. Following on from the excellent session at the 2021 symposium, we are also very excited to have The Centre for Effective Innovation in Agriculture hosting a Special Session at the 2022 symposium on Agri-Tech Adoption. 22 3:00 pm: Rural Futures: Youth Meet-up 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm 22 September, 2022 The RURALIZATION project is concerned with the regeneration of rural areas and how new generations can be a real part of a better rural future. One aspect of RURALIZATION involves understanding the visions held by youth for their ideal or ‘dream’ future in a rural area. Looking ahead to 2035, we explored what ‘ingredients’ are important features of this future and what kind of livelihood, accommodation and lifestyle would be part of it. During this meet-up we will discuss what we found, but also explore how this tailors with your vision for your future. We will also debate the wider challenges to realising these future visions, such as the general obstacles in the way, as well as grand challenges related to rural sustainability.
