RURAL WOMEN IN THE DIGITAL TRANSITION AND THE GREEN PACT

Lola Merino, president of the Federation of Rural Women and Families (AMFAR), has been present at the European seminar on rural women in the digital transition and the Green Pact organised by the European Commission.

Merino’s objective is to try to ensure that both women and young people have the best future in agricultural employment through measures that help to overcome the gender gap and meet the demand that both women and young people represent.

Young people and women are the lifeblood that the rural world needs for its development and to settle the population known as “Empty Spain”. Therefore, it is considered necessary measures to facilitate the incorporation of women and young people in the agricultural sector, said the president of AMFAR.
