INJEP Institute (Institut national de la jeunesse et de l’éducation populaire) has published the study on gender in rural and dreams of the youth “The girls from here: investigations on young rural women sociability”.

It has been carried out with 173 rural young women aged 14-29, in 2018 in several areas in France, rural or in towns <8000 inh (Finistère (Britany), Deux-Sèvres (Nouvelle-Aquitaine), Meuse (Lorraine) and Chartreuse Valley in the Alps). It looks into sociability spaces that young rural women can access, how their friendships and professional itineraries shape up and how they perceive their areas.
