RURALIZATION joins the Rural Vision Week 2021

The European Network for Rural Development is hosting the Rural Vision Week

22th – 26th March 2021

This interactive event, organised in close cooperation with the European Commission, will have a rich programme over a whole week, including high level presentations, a marketplace, and a number of group activities. Join the Rural Vision Week community – hearing from and discussing the long-term vision for rural areas with other rural partners and stakeholders.

All the Rural Vision Week sessions and related activities will take place completely digitally!

What you can do at the Online Event:

  • participate in workshops & fringe activities
  • check out the marketplace & its virtual stalls
  • listen to presentations & discussion on inspiring rural initiatives
  • seek networking opportunities with rural stakeholders & experts

What is a Marketplace? Throughout Rural Vision Week, the ENRD Contact Point will provide space on our website for rural stakeholders, local communities, EU organisations, research projects and others to present aspects of their rural vision. “Our Rural” Marketplace will host an exciting variety of stalls from a wide range of partners who want to share their key activities and display their messages for developing the long-term visions for rural areas until 2040.

What is a Fringe Event? The ENRD is pleased to announce this exciting opportunity for participants in the Rural Vision Week to also sign up for a range of virtual “Fringe” Workshops alongside the main event programme. They will provide a space for various stakeholders and organisations with an interest in rural areas to present their perspectives and messages within their own rural vision session.

English will be the working language of the event. For the plenary sessions, interpretation will be provided into French, German, Italian, Polish, Spanish and Portuguese.

What is even more exciting for us is that the RURALIZATION H2020 Project will be part of the Rural Vision Week! We will be hosting an Online Fringe Event on “Trends affecting rural areas and innovative practices for rural regeneration and generational renewal”.

The workshop will present two extensive studies performed in the framework of RURALIZATION. The foresight analysis provides ideas of the possible elements of the future of rural areas, including megatrends, context specific developments or signals of change. On the other side the innovative practices analysis provides inspiration for rural regeneration and generation renewal policies across Europe.

The RURALIZATION Fringe Event will take place on March 25th at 9 a.m. CET
